From Kevin Burkett, Clemson Agribusiness Associate
In 2025, Clemson University is coordinating a project to collect price data for direct marketed fruits and vegetables grown in South Carolina and sold at South Carolina farmers markets.
This project aims to gather interest from farmers markets that may be willing to participate. Based on funding there may be a small stipend for market volunteers willing to report market price data throughout the season.
The program is completely voluntary and none of the information entered will be shared outside of the grant coordinators. The reported prices will be used to create an anonymous, summarized report to show data from across the state.
If you are associated with more than one market, please submit each market separately. You are also welcome to forward the survey to any other farmers markets or market managers you think would be interested.
Access the survey and input data here.
(This project is funded by a SC Specialty Crop Block Grant)
