Where is Andy visiting this week?

Andy is visiting Strawberry Hill USA, located in Chesnee, SC. Strawberry Hill is owned and operated by James and Kathi Cooley and their 4 daughters. This large produce farm grows 100 acres of strawberries, approximately 800 acres of peaches, and some commercial blackberries. They also grow a variety of vegetables, some of which are double-cropped behind the strawberries. Visitors can participate in spring and fall farm tours and get lost in a large 9-acre corn maze in the fall. They have a restaurant that serves the community, and many of the workers’ husbands work on the farm. Strawberry Hill goes above and beyond in everything they do. The Cooleys have been long-time supporters of Clemson’s research efforts, having hosted numerous research projects over the years. They regularly support and participate in Clemson Extension programs and have drawn the attention of multiple national agricultural organizations. This spring, make the trip up to Strawberry Hill to explore everything it has to offer.

This month’s spotlight is from Andy Rollins, Upstate Fruit and Vegetable Agent.
