July Grower Spotlight – Chattooga Belle

Where is Briana visiting this week?

Chattooga Belle Farm is a 200-acre farm located in Long Creek. The farm has a variety of produce throughout the seasons, including apples and peaches, muscadines, scuppernongs, table grapes, and blueberries. They also have a variety of exotic fruits, such as persimmons, pawpaws, mayhaws, arctic kiwis, and figs. You can pick these yourself or purchase them in the farm store. There is also a distillery on site to explore. This is a great spot to take in the mountain views while enjoying the farm’s offerings.

Chattooga Belle was started in 2010 by Ed and Kitty Land. It has since become a full family affair with their daughter, Taylor and her husband, Cayde, helping manage the farm. Since 2010, the farm has also consistently expanded and diversified. They have added a distillery on the farm and a hardware store down the road. The farm also operates a restaurant and acts as a wedding venue.

For more information about all that Chattooga Belle offers, visit their website. You can also keep up to date with any events the farm is hosting by following them on social media.

This month’s spotlight is from Briana Naumuk, Upstate Fruit and Vegetable Agent.
