Clemson Extension is continuing a project to collect farmers’ market price data across the state. While some wholesale data is available from the South Carolina State Farmers Market in Columbia, this project aims to collect previously unknown or unreported direct, local, urban and rural data. Local farmers’ markets play an important role in agriculture. The goal of the project is to provide data to help growers make production and marketing decisions that support their long-term profitability.
From April – September of this year, these reports will be released biweekly. The newly released reports (as well as last year’s) can be found on the Extension webpage, Farmers Market Price Reports.

On the page, click on the green ‘2026 Farmers Market Price Report’ button, which will take you to a Box folder. While the files are viewable there as a PDF, it is recommended to download the file, which provides an Excel version. In the Excel version, reports can be filtered and sorted by characteristics such as date, location, market, crop, low price, high price, etc. The bi-weekly reports will be automatically uploaded to this site throughout the season.
While there is a general form for providing feedback on the reports, later this year, a targeted producer survey will open, allowing farmers to provide input on the project. There will be a $100.00 stipend for producers who complete the survey later this year. Project questions and comments can be directed to kburke5@clemson.edu
