Bob Hall Named 2021 Southeastern Farmer of the Year

Bob Hall of Bush-N-Vine Farm in York, South Carolina has been named the 2021 Swisher Sunbelt Expo Southeastern Farmer of the Year. The Farmer of the Year was announced at this past week’s Sunbelt Ag Expo in Moultrie, GA.

Hall was previously named South Carolina’s Farmer of the Year back in July and competed against 9 other farmers from around the Southeast. Hall was nominated by Clemson Extension Agent Andy Rollins.

Bob Hall Named Swisher Sweets Farmer of the Year for SC

Bob Hall of  Bush-N-Vine Farm in York, SC is this year’s Swisher Sweets Farmer of the Year for South Carolina. He was nominated by Upstate Clemson Extension Agent, Andy Rollins. Rollins said of Hall, “I am so proud of him and all his family for all they have done to make their farm and community great.”  Hall will be competing against farmers from other states in the Southeast for the overall 2020 Swisher Sweets Farmer of the Year. The winner will be announced at the Sunbelt Ag Expo in Moultrie, GA, which will be held October 20-22, 2020.

Charleston Grower Sidi Limehouse Named 2019 Swisher Sweets SC Farmer of the Year

Charleston produce grower Sidi Limehouse will represent South Carolina in the Swisher Sweets Farmer of the Year award program at the Sunbelt Ag Expo in Moutlrie, GA in October.  Sidi grows and sells a variety of produce as well as cut flowers and a number of value added products.  He is active in land conservation groups and is a believer in using land conservation practices on his own farm.  He has also spent time apprenticing young and beginning farmers in the low country.

Sidi takes the reigns from Ridge Spring cattle producer, Kevin Yon, who was named the 2018 Swisher Sweets SC Farmer of the Year.  Kevin went on to be named the Overall 2018 Farmer of the Year.
